Appointment Overview

The Board of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company has officially appointed Anuradha Bhatia as an Additional Independent Director. Her term will begin on March 12, 2025, and will extend for a period of five consecutive years, concluding on March 11, 2030.

Bhatia’s Professional Background

Previously serving as a member (Technical) of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Mumbai, Bhatia played a pivotal role in the implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and the Companies Act, 2013. Her work included adjudicating a variety of corporate matters including:

• Dispute resolution
• Liquidation and insolvency/bankruptcy processes
• Oppression and mismanagement cases
• Mergers and amalgamations

Extensive Experience in Tax Administration

Bhatia brings over 30 years of experience in the field of Direct Tax Administration. Her distinguished career includes overseeing tax matters across 23 districts in Maharashtra as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Pune. Additionally, she served as a Director (Finance) on the Board of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board, where she managed critical financial restructuring initiatives.
