Michael Whitaker has a distinguished 30-year career in the aviation industry, having held key positions that include:
- Chief Operating Officer at Supernal, Hyundai’s division focused on advanced air mobility.
- Deputy Administrator at the FAA.
- Senior Vice President for Alliances, International & Regulatory Affairs at United Airlines.
His tenure at the FAA concluded in January 2025, where his responsibilities encompassed overseeing air safety and the U.S. national air traffic system. Whitaker’s focus on operational efficiency and safety is expected to complement IndiGo’s goals of maintaining high operational standards.
