Impressive Employment Statistics
Despite concerns regarding potential market contraction and an increase in graduating students, the Class of 2024 has achieved remarkable employment results. Nearly 87.1% of law graduates from accredited institutions secured full-time, long-term positions that either require Bar admission or provide a J.D. advantage, according to recent data released by the American Bar Association (ABA).
Insights from ABA Leadership
“Despite initial concerns that the Class of 2024 employment outcomes might be impacted by an anticipated contraction in the market and increased size of the graduating class, the percentage of recent law school graduates employed in full-time, long-term Bar Admission Required/Anticipated or JD Advantage jobs has reached another record-high–which is good news for the graduates.”
Employment Outcome Details
The ABA’s announcement highlighted that approximately 33,931 graduates from accredited law schools achieved employment within about 10 months following graduation. This positive outcome reflects a robust demand in the legal job market, countering initial worries about job availability.
